My name is Dominique Gerald Johnson and I am a junior web developer. In today’s world, a world influenced by technology,I noticed that there is a massive need of developers across the world. As a little boy growing up in the township I didn’t show interest in wanting to understand how a piece of device works simply because technology was not popular where I grew up or it was too complicated to understand.

“It almost seems impossible until it is done.”

Nelson Mandela

What inspired me to challenge myself to learn more about technology and how can I be part of this fast growing industry? Like any industry there is a lot of competition in the technology industry meaning that better and even better things are given birth to resulting in a negative impact on the people, businesses and things that are not adapting to the fast growing network or that don’t digitalize. I saw an opportunity to enter the technology industry as a web developer, because this is such a flexible career choice I can easily expand my career and take on a different role within the technology industry without experiencing any major difficulties as I’ll already know the basics.

“Small steps in the right direction are better than big steps in the wrong direction.”

I am a very optimistic person that is always available for a challenge. Being in the tech industry pushes me to bring out the best in me because I know that there is no limits in this industry, it’s a constant learning curve.
